State Governing Board Elections

Hi Everyone.

The PA NAWGJ State Governing Board is up for election. The term of these positions is from August 1, 2017 until July 31, 2019. Please see this link for a document containing the State Governing Board Application Form, eligibility requirements as well as the duties of the State Governing Board. Please make sure you review the requirements and duties for these offices. The list of positions up for election as well as job descriptions are listed below. Voting for any contested positions will begin July 1 and end July 15.

Our RJD, Bonnie Synol, will be running this election via an online vote. If you would like to run for a position please mail or email your application to Bonnie by June 15. Please contact Marcy Blitz for Bonnie’s address and/or email address if needed.

Treasurer/Historian

  • Works closely with SJD to assist in compiling financial quarterly reports
  • Assist with Special Fundraiser Reports
  • Keep accurate financial records of bank account
  • Record and mail payment for educational gift certificates
  • Coordinate award banquets – keep records of previous award recipients
  • Volunteer at the PA Judges Cup

Assistant Western Assigner

  • Assigns judges in Western PA for league and invitational meets
  • Keep record of number of meets assigned and number of judges assigned for end of the year report
  • Assist SJD when necessary for state assignments
  • Coordinates meet schedule in Western PA
  • Volunteer at PA Judges Cup or Western Critique Clinic

Assistant Eastern/Central Assigner

  • Assigns judges in Eastern/Central PA for league and invitational meets
  • Keep record of number of meets assigned and number of judges assigned for end of the year report
  • Coordinates meet schedule in Eastern/Central PA
  • Volunteer at PA Judges Cup

Educational Chair

  • Keep judges updated on any rule changes
  • Answer questions concerning rules
  • Clarify rules with Region 7 RTC as necessary
  • Organize clinics – secures clinicians, works with SJD on clinic schedules, etc.
  • Volunteer at PA Judges Cup

CPE/PA Judges Cup Coordinator

  • Keep record of CPE credits for judges
  • Send list to USAG office at required time
  • Coordinates with SJD the PA Judges Cup – secures facility, sessions, age groups, awards, gifts, etc.
  • Volunteer at PA Judges Cup

Western Critique Coordinator

  • Secure facility
  • Organize schedule
  • Coordinate schedule with SJD and Educational Chair
  • Complete financial report
  • Volunteer at Western Clinic

Level 7 Qualifier Coordinator

  • Secure facility
  • Organize schedule, awards, clothing, etc.
  • Complete financial report
  • Attend National Judges Cup
  • Volunteer at PA Judges Cup

Secretary

  • Record minutes at board meetings
  • Works the door/gate at PA Judges Cup and Level 7 Qualifier
  • Help the Historian with awards banquets
  • Volunteer at PA Judges Cup
